NEW AND RENEWAL POLICY PAYMENTS - When used to pay your policy downpayment or annual premium, including policy taxes and fees, a convenience charge will be charged by the credit card processing company. For credit cards, that fee is 3.5%, and for debit cards, the fee is 1.25%. The fees are not paid to our agencies, and our agencies do not earn commissions on the fees. As such, all issues, concerns or request for refunds, must be addressed to the credit card processing company. Should you need to contact the processing company, your broker or agent will be happy to provide you with their contact information. NOTICE TO EXISTING POLICYHOLDERS Before making a payment for a policy for anything other than a new policy or a renewal policy that does not offer a direct bill payment plan, you should contact our office and ask if it is okay to make that payment. As a rule, we do not accept credit card payments on this website if the insurer has a direct payment plan available. With a direct bill payment plan, there may be no convenience charge on a debit or credit card payment, so it is in your best financial interest to contact the insurer and make the payment direct through them. |
